SludgeTech 2017 is taking place at the Imperial College in South Kensington, the cultural heart of London.  We have carefully curated a selection of suggestions should you fancy take the opportunity to make the most of your time in our fantastic capital city. From touring some of the many museums, art galleries to music and dining, there should be something for everyone. And of course, Wimbledon is on.

Museums & Galleries

sci_musSouth Kensington, London’s Museum Quarter is the centre of culture in the capital. Only minutes walk from the conference venue,  The Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum of Art and Design and The Science Museum can easily fill your day.

The Royal Albert Hall, one of the worlds most famous stages hosts a wide range of music, daytime tours and lunchtime jazz also take place every day.

If the weather is nice, take a stroll through The Royal Parks and visit Kensington Palace for a peek into the lives of the Royal Family. 

Further afield,  visit Somerset House for Perfume, a “multi-sensory exhibition featuring ten extraordinary perfumes and their pioneering creators.”

Culture: Time Out has created a list of the best things to do in London in July, including the top music and art events everyone will be talking about.  

Tours: If you only have a little time and want to see a different side of London. London Walks conduct 2-hour guided walks, in any weather every day from tube stop meeting points around the city. These include the famous Jack the Ripper and Harry Potter walks.
