SludgeTech 2017 will be held at the Imperial College London, in the Sherfield building.


Travel to, and arrival in London

London is served by a number of airports receiving flights from across the world.

London Heathrow and London Gatwick receive the majority of international flights and are well connected by trains and underground to central London.

London Luton and London Stansted receive low cost European flights and are a little further from the City. London City Airport is the most centrally located airport but with fewer daily flights. 

All airports a well connected to Central London and the airport website will provide information on transport.

By public transport

Londoners mainly travel using public transport. For information on getting around on public transport please visit The Transport for London website. If you have a smartphone, Citymapper will help you choose the best route.

By car

We strongly advise against driving to the conference venue unless you have no alternative option.

Please note that Car parking at South Kensington Campus is severely restricted and you are advised NOT to bring a car unless you have a specific need and permission has been given. The car park is open to the public from 18.00 to Midnight on weekdays and from 08.00 to Midnight on weekends. Please note that overnight parking is not permitted. Parking in the streets surrounding the College is at pay and display or parking meters for limited periods only.

The postcode to use for satellite navigation to the South Kensington car park is SW7 2BX . Entry is via Exhibition Road.

Please be aware that if you drive through Central London you will have to pay a the daily congestion charge between 07:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday

By taxi

For affordable Taxi hire you can use Uber if you have a smartphone. Alternatively you can also hail a black cab on Cromwell Road or any large road in London, prices will vary according to location. Additionally, several local taxi firms operate in the area:

Transportation Information for Exhibitors

Goods Dropoffs: The conference organizers recommend taking public transportation to the venue. Couriers and delivery vehicles are able to drive onto the campus and park for a maximum of 30 minutes while unloading their vehicle for the exhibition. Access the Sherfield Building from Imperial College Road, via Exhibition Road. Please ask security for directions to the Sherfield loading bay. Vehicles need to be removed after 30 minutes. Please refer to the campus map in your exhibitor pack for directions.

Unfortunately, materials delivery prior to the event is not possible.

Vehicle parking: Imperial College London is not able to provide car parking facilities on campus.Parking in the streets surrounding the College is at pay and display or parking meters but for limited periods only. The nearest car parks include:
